artsy fartsy,  Bug,  domesticity,  my art is going to the dogs

back in the groove

we vacuum together

Today was SUCH a better day. Thank you for all your kind comments. I don’t think I so much needed more sleep as I just need to time my caffeine fixes better. I could and should make a chart for myself, mapping out the direct relation between my coffee intake and energy level. I was crashing pretty hard these last two nights. No wonder I couldn’t eeek out a decent blog post.

prepping her own hands

It also helps that I managed to take some decent pictures today. I’m such a weak writer lately. I really rely on my photos and illustrations (which are waxing farther and farther apart because they just take too much time) to get me through a post. I would give myself a guilt trip about it but I’ve been exercised lately not to take blogging so seriously.

Today was a fun day because Baby Bug painted today. She wasn’t supposed to but I accidentally left a container of paint open in her reach. ( I knew it was going to happen one of these days) I thought I was in big trouble but amazingly I managed to guide her paint smudged hand to the back of my big white dog painting and she painted a pretty picture for me. She was sooooo happy.

someday she's going to be a famous artist

It was really fun for both of us. We didn’t even get any paint on anything. How I managed to get the camera and keep her fingers off the patio furniture, I do not know.

I love the picture of you two vacuuming together. She looks so helpful : )

I can’t wait until I can start doing art projects with my son. We’ve pulled out the crayons a few times, but he still seems more interested in eating them than coloring.

I don’t know how you did it (photos + no mess) either. I looked at that photo of her looking up at you with those hands and almost had a heart attack (aghh messy disaster). I’m glad you’re more relaxed than I would have been. It looks like she had a great time and really takes after her mum and dad.

I love that her pacifier matches her dress :). And your photos are wonderful. If I looked as good as you do when you vacuum, I would do it every day. I am usually in pj’s and sweating to death (but, I do have a bit more carpet than you do). Glad you are feeling better and that no bad things happened with the yellow paint, I guess the count down begins to the show!

Is that the very first time BB has ever painted? Get that girl some washable watercolors and a big piece of butcherblock paper and let her go to town! :-)

    Glad you’re feeling better!

Baby bug is just incredibly adorable! how could she be any other way???

you know raising baby is all about cycles and changes….you get used to one cycle, then it changes to another cycle!!! i think you’re doing a fabulous job of squeezing YOU in there!!! you’re aaaaallllllright, girl!

i am so jealous that babybug is such a neat painter! now it’s a great activity for both of you. i, on the other hand, am still searching for the perfect mess-free craft for a three year old who just prefers to make a mess.

BB is so grown up, vacuuming and painting. I love her hair, it reminds me of Posh Spice’s hair(or whatever her name is).

It’s time to get that girl some finger paints.
