spy into my little life
It’s been one of those days.
I remember those days well, only for me I found The Boy on top of the piano.
Loving that branch and birds nest canvas though and your Ikea shelves were worth the effort they look great.
I remember those days just a little too well. Although I didn’t have to worry about J climbing things. Perhaps Apple will be a climber.
Been there, done that and glad to be a grandma now so I can hand the kids back on no nap day. Although, when my granddaughter was Baby Bugs age, no nap day is the very day they would get me to watch her! Good luck!
Oh great… I just opened this page in front of my 3 year old and she’s so pleased to see a compadre standing on top of a shelving unit. I’m afraid this will only further her resolve to keep on climbing. CUTE ROOM.
monkey girl! awesome!
Oh honey, God bless you! You have a great climber :). Here’s to wishing for a nap-filled weekend!!
LOL! Look at her go. My mom reminisces about when she found me on top of our upright piano, screaming for help getting down. And may I say … cute nursery!
Well the books are out of her reach. She may just be telling you to bring them down closer to her level. Then, no need to climb, right?
Oh how cute!! I don’t have kids so I get to take MY OWN naps! =)
Too funny. But, I really want to know about the painting-did you do that? It is so cute!
SAJ says: Yes, I did. Thank you!
Ha, ha, Nicole and I both just did ‘one of those days’ posts too, must be in the air.
Kaitlyn skipped her nap yesterday too and then was up fron 2-5 am. ugh!
BB’s room is cute….she is one crazy little monkey girl!
A friend of mine was once on the phone with his brother, chatting away, when suddenly the brother yelled out to his two-year-old: “Get down off of that refrigerator! Ah, I gotta go.”
My then-childless friend laughed like crazy. Little did he know he’d be saying similar things to his own son a couple of years later.
I also love the canvas bird nest painting! Did you do it? You should have those in your etsy shop! Also love the little kitchen — I haven’t seen that one before.
I was also wondering if the painting was one of yours.
Lately, Jordan’s fave climbing spot is the refrigerator! And every day is a no-nap day (he’s 4)…..
Toddler on the loose!
Quick! Get help!
My daughter is 17.5mo and just figuring out how to climb. Sometimes it seems like I’m peering into my future, reading your blog. I think I should sell our chairs, lol.
I feel your pain!
How precious! I have that bookshelf too, Ikea right?
Oh My! Toddler proofing time! LOVE the baskets, though!
I was looking a the cool wicker cube shelf thingy and tt took me a while to see the baby on top of it!
I can’t help but laugh… but I’m not laughing at you. If you know what I mean. More like – I’ve sooooo been there. AUGH.
Oh my gosh, this photo is fantastic.
I used to hate when we didn’t get naps. Now it doesn’t quit upset me as much because I think maybe she will just go to bed easier, which usually doesn’t happen.
I love the Valentine’s look.
She looks so little standing up there!
I know I already said DOH!
But I have a prize for you over on my blog today. Enjoy.
oh it’s good to know the shelves withstand weight too. :)
Whoot, I kept coming back to see if your new banner was up and now it is and meeeowwww, cute!
You just keep outdoing yourself, fantastic!
oh no … those days can be exhausting for mom! the only good thing is she should crash out a little bit early so you can get the stuff done that you were supposed to get done earlier in the day. (love the new banner, BTW!)
I love the way your Ikea shelf turned out. Some day I would love to have one like yours filled with baskets, and then one turned upright for books and out of reach toy storage. Cute photo of BB!
The day that I yelled at the neighbor for being loud during nap time….was the last day of naps. They were 2 1/2 and 3 1/2.
Good gravy! I love the bird painting…love love love it!! I have the yellow tea towel in my kitchen. Is BB ready for gym class yet???
Oh my goodness….too cute. I love the painting with the birds in the nest. Did you do that?
That pic is hilarious! I was thinking what BA said, she does look so little up there :o)
PS – We have that Paddington too :o)
PPS – IKEA is opening in a month here in Cincinnati…I want that shelf – I love it!
It was in the air, I swear! Mine didn’t take a nap until 4:30 – FOUR THIRTY. He resisted napping in the preschool nursery, too. Is it a full moon?
Also, look at BB, the nimble monkey!
“Oh great Mom, you’ve got your camera”!… “Now watch my dismount and get the shot”!
I hear ya!
The picture says it all really – and the look on her face is precious…
she may be an Olympian star in the future!
love her room, very cute!
That bird painting is too cute…can you make some to sell in your shop? I just bought your Baby Bug cards (for myself) and I couldn’t be happier. You are very talented.
Oh my goodness!!!!!!I might be doing a tree theme in my nursery. I have a few ideas but i am loving the canvas painting!! I would love any ideas.
THAT is rockin’
My fiancé and I have the exact same shelf (ours is upright for the time being) I love the baskets you put in it. It is so versatile you can put just about anything in there from a cupboard doors and drawers to baskets.
Oh my!!! :D
That painting on the right distracted me though. LOVELY! Cute lil birdies!
Fun days, SAJ. Maybe it’s genetic…. I’ve got pictures of PC on just about everything in our house months ago, and NOW he’s barely a year and a half! Where did you get the little kitchen? And I have to 100th the opinion of the bird painting. I think it’s adorable!
