Back to Life

duh

Have you noticed I’ve been blogging every day? Wait. Don’t say anything. It will jinx it. But you can comment if you want. That’s what I should say from now on when people say I don’t blog enough. I should say: comment more and I’ll blog more! And commenting in the safe world of Facebook DOES NOT COUNT! Not that I don’t love your Facebook love. I do. I’m just not a stellar Facebook user.

Anyway, here I am back to life in my small smelly apartment that does not have a fireplace or apple cider doughnuts being fried in the kitchen. My cat sitter was great and totally changed the cat box while I was gone but I stayed away an extra day and I haven’t gotten around to it today. Too busy doing other back-to-life things like:

time to put the groceries away

Grocery shopping! We had NO food. It was fun trying to make Bug’s lunch this morning. Leftover pumpkin pie instead of a sandwich because we are out of bread? Bug thought that was great. She loves pumpkin pie, which is awesome since so do I.

time to do laundry

Laundry. Plah. That was also challenging this morning since all of Bug’s favorite black Hello Kitty skinny shirts and leggings were dirty. She wore a green shirt, tights and cut off jeans over top. Winter, California-style.

need to declutter my desk

And of course work. My desk is a big cluttery mess. But at least I have happy cheery snowflakes in my windows and oranges on my desktop. Tis the season!

piggy gym bag

I’m also back on the work-out-at-the-gym wagon. I thought walking Bug back and forth to school everyday was enough exercise for me but apparently not. Either that or the community dryer here shrinks everything! Heh. So I have a cute piggy gym bag to help motivate me. I’m actually liking the gym, they have a zumba class every day at the perfect time! That never happens for me usually.

I pretend the spots are snow

Meditation. Those spots you see on my window, pretend they are snow.

feeling like chopping it all off

And a shot of me so you don’t forget what I look like. Heh. You can’t really tell in this photo but my hair is getting really long. It’s finally getting to the length I’ve wanted it for the last two years and you know what that means, I feel like chopping it all off! Why does this always happen to me?!!

So how was your Thanksgiving and how are you adjusting back to normal life? I think I need to vacuum.

love the newsy posts, and yay for gym and zumba! i’ve realized my “outdoor” workouts aren’t quite svelting my figure, more like destroying my nails and hurting my back. that bag is cute too :). may real life be spicy enough to not miss B’s place too much …

It looks like you at a good time at the Actuallys! Bug got pumpkin pie for lunch? We ate it for breakfast until it was all gone, which was pretty sad. I love pumpkin pie but if I ate it every day I’d turn into a pumpkin myself.

Don’t cut your hair off- it’s lovely. Mine is getting so fine and thin and I would give anything to have thick, long hair like yours.

Keep blogging- you are so creative that it’s always a joy to read about what you are working on.

Happy belated Thanksgiving to you and Bug! Grocery shopping and laundry…bleh but pumpkin pie for lunch and zumba… Yeah! I’ve actually become quite the Zumba addict the past few months which is hilarious considering how uncoordinated I am but i love how fun it is and even lost the last bit of my extra baby weight doing it. Hope you enjoy it too!

Yes indeed, laundry today and grocery shopping tomorrow! But I decided to have a fun morning and took the girls to Sea World to play in the snow.

I am so glad you got to see Bethany and her family. What a fun trip for you!

You look great, and good for you on the gym and zumba!

As for adjusting back? We are playing the waiting game because my baby sister is having a baby any hour now so it has been days and days of “Wait and see”. She thought maybe today, her husband came home from work, my parents zoomed in to get the older 2 daughters but not quite yet. Maybe tonight, though. So exciting!

And yet at the same time I feel like we are sitting still with the waiting so…

I love daily posts. Life can be so boring sometimes, can’t it? I love/hate getting back into the normal swing of things. I’ve heard some great things about Zumba. I have a friend who has lots lots of weight on it. She’s been really inspiring. I TOTALLY get the hair thing. I’m really wanting to do a chop, but think I might wait it out. Maybe a Summer cut?

Post daily please. Over the Thanksgiving weekend while everyone was rolling themselves out the door of their extended families’ homes or maybe just into their own living rooms, I was surfing the web looking for new content to read. I know, I know, I should have been putting up my Christmas tree or maybe even eating leftovers, but no…I was on the boob tube dismayed at the lack of new posts to read.

It got shelved. I finished it but it had some major plot problems so I’m shopping it around to editors to help me fix it. :( I’ll be sure to blog if anything happens with it though.

ugh, that’s the worst part of a long weekend away from home, grocery shopping and laundry. It was the same here as we went to my parents house for the weekend.

I love your posts, thanks for being so dedicated. Blogging is a real labor of love, I abandoned my blog a long time ago. I think about reviving at time but then I think meh. Anyway, my daughter is a year younger than Bug so its fun to see what you guys are experiencing too. And, I do the exact same thing with my hair, now its almost a la Dorothy Hamill in 1976. Why do we do this to ourselves? Yours looks very pretty, I think you should embrace it and leave it long. Or keep going and donate to Locks of Love! That was a goal of mine too but I couldn’t take it anymore. Sigh.
