Art for Sale!

I’m a little nervous about this. I know nothing about e-commerce. Heather from OMSH suggested I sell some art on my blog to get things rolling because setting up a shop costs a bit and my credit card is fresh out of funds. The dog art gallery show turned out to be a little more costly than profitable for me but that’s okay because it was for a good cause and who knows, maybe some of the profit I donated will help keep a cute puppy from being put to sleep.

I don’t have any paintings right now. But I do have digital prints. Three to be exact. There is Working Dog that can be seen on Neilochka’s blog. It looks pretty snazzy framed doesn’t it? And don’t worry, if you choose to purchase any of these prints they will be signed. You won’t get jipped like Neilochka and get a mysterious unsigned piece of art. (Though I don’t think he got ripped off that bad since I plan to meet him for coffee sometime in the near future and write a long personal ode on the back of his frame.)

Orange Bulldog is also available and if you would like her in a different color I might be able to oblige. Don’t get crazy on me though.

Lastly is Pink Puppy (as pictured above). All these prints are for sale for $20 each unframed or $55 each with a matte and frame. I don’t have any pay pal buttons set up right now but just email me and I will send you a pay pal invoice. I’m sorry if you prefer to pay with cash or write a check because I’m only accepting pay pal at this time. Sign up for pay pal. It’s easy and quick and works just like real money!

Each print is 4.5 inches square, meant to be framed in a 5×5 frame like this. I’m only offering these sizes at this time. But if you have a dying wish to buy something a different size, email me. I might be able to swing it. Or maybe not. I’m not really sure how this is all going to work yet.

That’s all I can think of for now. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

I love that you are wearing a pink fang kitty apron in your illo. :-)

Can I make a request for a painting I would love to have a print of? I mean, I know it probably won’t happen anyway, but it can’t hurt to ask, right?

I’m sure you get a ton of traffice on here and it’ll probably be the best way for you to sell things…but incase you wanted to sell elsewhere, you should check out etsy.com. It’s a site devoted entirely to selling handmade goods, and I’m pretty sure your illustrations would qualify since people sell prints of their photography as well. It costs $.20 to post an item and a tiny percentage when you sell, but it’s super cheap and a pretty neat place! It works for me since I have zero idea how to set up a website to sell things, etc. Just a suggestion, just in case! Cute prints by the way!

    Adorable prints- yay!

Ditto to Erin re: Etsy. I have a friend that sells there and loves it dearly. She’s gotten wholesale attention for her products and her things just took off.

My request? The dog that looks as though he (she?) is holding a coffee cup. :)

Two people suggested it already – but you are a perfect candidate for an etsy shop! My living room is mostly decorated from the cool prints I purchase there.
