I’ll probably come back and write something here later but right now I am dead tired from helping my parents move all day yesterday in 100 degree heat. So I’m just going to leave this here for all of us who hold this place in a special place in our heart.

This chapter is ending but the next is looking good!

Thanks for sharing. Hope your mom and dad are doing ok and this is a good move for them. I have never been there, but feel like I know the place.

Like Carrie said, your folks old home felt so familiar to us our hearts are aching seeing them say goodbye. Wow the old stone fireplace looked great, so period.

It’s a huge thing to clear out a family home.

Big hugs to all your family, a lot of people who they don’t know, love them. Xxxx

Moving is a big job. I sure hope you and your parents and any helpers are all rested up from a summer move – and a California summer move at that – no joke!

Godspeed in your recovery and in your parents’ settling into their new place!
